The Dorset Music Awards

A big thank you to those of you that came down to the heats of the Dorset Music Awards. The support of those of you that came, even on such short notice was greatly appreciated and it is partly because of your crowd reaction that I can now proudly announce that Lady Winwoods Maggot have made it through to the quarter finals. This round is now entirely dependent on the support of all of you in order for them to get any further.

They are up against twenty other bands all competing for a place in the Semi Finals being held at Mr Kyps. The success of their progression to the semi finals relies entirely on the votes placed by you. The online voting is open now and The Maggots need your votes. Their fate is in your hands, so don't waste any time go to our page on theDorset Music Awards website and vote for this well deserved band to get through to the next stage of the competition.

Their performance for the quarter finals will be at The Winchester in Bournemouth on 11th March 2010 and their slot will be at 11.15pm. Tickets are £3.00 and available from the Dorset Music Awards ticket page. Whether you can make it to the gig or not, it is still vital that you vote. So reward The Maggots for bringing 15 years of Death Western to Dorset and vote for them.

There is something in it for you....

If you get the Maggots through to the Semi Finals they will be rewarding the fans with a special performance called;

"And Now for Something Completely Different."

For one evening only they will be performing an entire set of audience requests. Maybe there is a song you have always wanted to hear a maggot version of, or maybe there are songs that have been cut from their set and you would love to hear again, or maybe you have no requests but you would just love to hear an evening of other peoples eclectic requests and what crazy things the Maggots might do to them. Either way they will only do this if you put them through to the semi finals and encourage enough other people to vote for them as well.
