It's 1995, just...

New Years Eve 1995 Pilley Club, Les, Brian, Paul and Tony leave. "Oh Shit not again!" I hear you say. But "Never say die." A quick phone call to Geoff Neal, and not only do Maggot have another drummer, but another maniac in the band as well.

Now, as a four piece for the first time, our heroes were a little concerned that they would sound a bit weak. But the way Geoff played drums sounded like a train wreck waiting to happen. So, off round to Tonys' to record the next masterpiece. It didn't start too well when Geoff forgot to turn up and Mark and Moggy had to record their parts with a drum machine, but in the end 'Moose' was born. Tape only again due to finance, but who needs modern technology any way?

Now 1996 brings interesting developments. Mark has an operation on his hand and is unable to play, so Darren Hodson takes over on guitar for a while. The while includes the band entering Explo '96, a competition held at the Show Bar in Bournemouth. Grabbing Tony to play keyboard and other stuff, Maggot set off to have a good laugh in the 1st heat. They win! A few weeks later they take part in the 2nd heat. They win again!! "Something must be wrong here," they think. Anyway it's the semi-final next that should sort it. THEY WIN AGAIN!!!!!!! The Final.....Get two friends to dress up as a pantomime moose.....Get Moggys' girlfriend to dress up as Granny for the finale.....Come 3rd out of 3; Que sera sera. The record company people were kind enough to tell Maggot that there was no demand for their type of music though. It's nice to feel wanted.

Due to work commitments Geoff leaves and Danny rejoins. They just can't stay away can they? More gigs.
