Mark Baynes: Lyrics

Well we boarded at victoria bound for dover by the sea
A quick jaunt across the channel for a weekend in paris
As we waved goodbye to london that dear old dirty town
The wind blew up like a hurricane and the rain came crashing down

Chorus
And as the wind got up, the rain it fell
When the sky turned black it did'nt bode to well
And little did I know that we were heading for hell
On our journey across the sea

When the famous white cliffs came to sight
The sea was looking rough
And I really started to wonder if sea sick tablets were enough
As we sat inside the hoverport and watched the boarding sign
Every trip was cancelled, every fucking trip but mine

Chorus
Well we sat there in the hovercraft and a throbbing it did start
Could'nt tell if it was the engines or if it was my heart
The skirt inflated the other travellers raised a cheer
But all that I could think was why the hell am I in here

So we hugged the coast for the first five minutes
Then the captain turned to sea
We were up and down like an old whores knickers
Everyone was turning green
We were bobbing and aweaving like a prize fighter
When everybody started to puke
I was gripping the seat till my knuckles turned white
I could'nt bear to look

Chorus
Well I prayed to god and I prayed to the devil
I prayed to Allah and Buddah as well
To save me from the return trip from Calais
I could'nt take another
45 minutes OF HELL
